村人がビビを捕まえた宿屋の店番(村長の弟）について話しているのをジタンが盗み聞きしています。

Man:

Why is it moving...? Is it true that the mayor's brother found it?

Young Man:

I guess they reconciled. His brother's one of us now.

Man:

...Wasn't he on the old lady's side before?

Young Man:

Oh, about abandoning the farm? He probably only said that because he was fighting with the mayor.

「多分村長と喧嘩してたから言ってただけだろう」という文章で、英語と日本語の言い方がかなり近い形なので何の変哲もない文章なのですが、個人的にはonlyの使い方が意外だったので取り上げてみました。
