roomは部屋という意味ですが、「あそこならもっと部屋がある」といってるわけではありません。

ここでのroomは「空間、余地」という意味で使っています。（この場合は不可算）

spaceと同じ使い方ですね。つまり、「あそこの方がスペースがある」といってるわけです。
