英語版FF9日誌110 : What cave did you just crawl out of!?
ヒルデガルド2号を見たスタイナーと老人の会話です。
Steiner:
Wh-What is that large airship!?
Grandpa:
Amazing, isn't it? It's the Hilde Garde 2. Since it is equipped with a steam engine, developed by the regent himself, it can fly without Mist.
Steiner:
Impossible. How can it fly without being powered by Mist?
Grandpa:
What cave did you just crawl out of!? This is the age of steam power! The source of steam power is water. It's much safer than Mist. Heh-heh-heh! A bright future awaits us all!

特に使える表現とかではないですが、面白いなと思ったので。
時代遅れの事を言うスタイナーを揶揄して、「どこの洞穴から這い出てきたんじゃ君は！？」と大げさに言っています。
ちなみにcrawlは「這って進む」ことを言います。日本語でも「クロール」というと、泳ぎ方の種類のことですが、あれも這って進んでいるように見えることから来ています。

酒場の客のセリフです。

nothing like~は直訳すると「～のようなものは無い」という意味で、要するに「～ほど良いものなどない」という意味で使っています。
英語版FF9日誌108 : Provisional Air Cab Schedule
エアキャブ乗り場にビラが貼ってあります。

provisionalは「仮の、暫定的な、臨時の」という意味です。
provideから来ている言葉だと思うのですが、provisionの方は「支給、供給」という意味で使われているので分かりやすいですが、provisionalはちょっと分かりづらいですね。「一時的に支給される」というイメージから来ているのでしょうか。
provisionは「食料」という意味でゲームでは良く見ますね。こちらも支給されるイメージからでしょう。
provisionalと同じような意味合いで一番良く見るのは「temporary」ではないでしょうか。
temporaryの方が一般的にそれが一時的なものであることを表しているようです。
provisionalは契約などに使うことが多いようです。
他には、
tentative:まだ確定していない案などを試験的に運用するイメージ
makeshift:とりあえずその場をしのぐために間に合わせでというイメージ
など、一時的なものを表現する言葉は結構あるようです。
とりあえずtemporaryを覚えておけば何とかなる気もします。

Transportation sure has come a long way. When I was young, we used to ride chocobos. They were much slower than these air cabs. It used to take at least an hour to get to the Theater District.

come a long wayで、「ずっと進歩する、はるかによくなる」という意味です。今回のように、完了形で使うことが多いようです。

リンドブルムの合成屋での会話です。
Torres:
The fire's too strong! How many times do I have to tell you? A few degrees can make a difference between a good weapon and a bad one. Use a lower flame!
Wayne:
Stop nagging! We've got a customer!
Torres:

直訳すると「いつ彼は自分の頭にそれを通すんだ」という意味になります。
「頭に通す」つまりは「理解する」って事ですね。
「いつになったらあいつは理解するんだ...？」と師匠が弟子の愚痴を言っているわけです。
英語版FF9日誌105 : I'd probably croak if I did.
エアキャブ前の老人の話です。
locke:
Air cabs are amazing. Back in the old days, we had to walk all the way to the Theater District. I don't think I could ever walk that far anymore. I'd probably croak if I did.

croakというのはカラスやカエルなどの鳴き声から来ている言葉です。日本語で言うカーカーとかガーガーとかそんな感じです。英語からするとああいう鳴き声はcroakと聞こえるようです。
このお爺さんはもう劇場区へ歩いて行くのは無理だろうと言った後に、
「もしそんなことをしたら、ワシはカーカー言ってしまうだろう」
と言ってるわけです。こう訳すと何を言ってるかよく分かりませんが、ここでのcroakは「死ぬ」という意味です。
つまり「もしそんなことをしたら、ワシは死んでしまうだろう」と言ってるわけです。
なぜ、croakが死ぬという意味になるんでしょうか。
カラスは不吉だって言うし、死体に群がるイメージがあるからそういう事なのかな？と思いきや、どうも臨終のときに発するうめき声というか呼吸音というかがcroakという音に聞こえるからだとか。結構生々しいですね。想像するとゾッとします。

Do you always strike out that badly? I think you need a new line. A little shine wouldn't hurt, either.
Steiner:

Grandma Pickle:
They're called gysahl pickles. They're one of Lindblum's delicacies. Do you wanna try one?
Steiner:
...It smells terrible!
Grandma Pickle:
The worse they smell, the better they taste.
Steiner:
I guess I'll try one.

Grandma Pickle:
Oh, my. Even the locals don't eat them in one bite.
Steiner:
Phew... But you're right. They are good.

delicacyはデリカシーと日本語でも言うとおり、「繊細さ」という意味です。
他にも「上品さ」や「精密さ」という意味でも使いますが、ここでは「珍味」という意味で使っています。
