英語を勉強しながらFF9プレイ日誌16: Fatigue rears its ugly head

rear its ugly head: (問題などが）表面化する
brigand[bríg(ə)nd]: 山賊、略奪者
Fear not: (dated, Formal) Do not be afraid.
劇場艇に逃げ込んでいったガーネットを、ジタンとスタイナーが追いかけます。
急いで逃げるガーネットに、タンタラスの一員のルビーがぶつかってしまいます。
もともと関西弁で喋っていたルビーなので、英語でも変わった表現が多いです。
アメリカ南部の訛りなのかな？
Ruby:
Whoa! Whut in tarnation!? Hold yer horses, there! Whut kinda cattle you chasin', darlin'? You should at least say yer sorry!
in tarnation: =in damnation いったい（怒りや落胆を表して）
Hold your horses: 落ち着け、はやる気持ちを抑えろ
What kind of cattle you chasing:
決まり文句としてあるのでしょうか。よく分かりません。
直訳すると、「どんな牛追っかけとんねん！」って感じでしょうか。
言わんとしてることは分かる気がしますが...。
Hooded Girl:
Please pardon me. I was in a hurry, you see...
Ruby:
And here I am, fixin' to get ready fer my big entrance!
be fixing to : ～するつもりである
これもアメリカ南部で使われる表現らしいです。
be going toと似たような感じですが若干ニュアンスは違うとか。
Ruby:
Hey, Zidane! Did you see the way she hit me!? This cowgirl's wilder than a buckin' bronco!
bucking bronco : 汚くて調教するのが難しい荒馬
Zidane:
Just let me talk to her, Ruby!
Ruby:
Come again, pardner!? Did you hear what I was sayin'!?
pardner : (口語）仲間、相棒
ジタンがルビーに絡まれている間にガーネットが逃げていきます。
Zidane:
Ruby:

I rehearsed and rehearsed 'til the cows came home!
damsel [dˈæmzl] : 女の子
rootin tootin : はっきりとした意味は分かりませんが、有意義な体験である事を強調する時に使うようです。カウボーイのスラングらしいですね。
rehearse[rɪhˈɚːs] : リハーサルをする
til(untill) the cows come home : (口語）長い間
